Sunil George Oommen founded what is now the Melamparampil Group of Concerns — the family business of which Living Stone is the editorial-grade natural-stone studio. Over four decades in the trade, he has built quarry relationships across India, Italy, Brazil and Turkey, and supplied stone to projects from Kerala’s signature hospitals and hospitality landmarks to private homes for some of South India’s most recognised families.

He continues to serve the business as Founder & Advisor, mentoring the next generation of the family in stone selection, sourcing strategy and the project relationships that have anchored the company for forty-plus years. Architects and project leads frequently call on him directly when a brief calls for stones with a specific quarry character that only long-form market memory can identify.
